The Raclette Maxi and Raclette Mini let you bake cook and grill your favorite cheese, vegetables and meat right on the table. The sky's the limit when it comes to possible combinations. But we've put together a few tips to help get you started.
The amounts shown in the ingredients are for 2 persons.
Manchego
Ingredients:
1 piece of Manchego, small container of salsa verde & 75 g (2.65 oz.) of chorizo sausage
Preparation:
1. Remove the crust from the Manchego and cut the cheese into wedges.
2. Cut the chorizo into slices of around 1/5 inch thick and sauté them in a frying pan without butter or oil on medium heat for 3-5 minutes until crispy.
3. Drain the slices on a paper towel afterwards. Next, put the slices in a food processor or hand blender and chop until crumbly.
4. Place a slice of Manchego in one of the raclette pans and place it under the grill plate to melt.
5. Top with the chorizo crumbs and add a teaspoon of salsa verde. Heat briefly and serve on a slice of crispy baguette.
Gorgonzola
Ingredients:
1 piece of Gorgonzola Dolce, a handful of walnuts & 5 fresh figs
Preparation:
1. Cut the Gorgonzola and figs into slices and combine with the walnuts in one of the raclette pans.
2. Place the pan under the grill plate until the cheese has melted.
3. Serve with baguette slices.
Brie
Ingredients:
1 piece of Gorgonzola Dolce, a handful of walnuts & 5 fresh figs
Preparation:
1. Cut the Gorgonzola and figs into slices and combine with the walnuts in one of the raclette pans.
2. Place the pan under the grill plate until the cheese has melted.
3. Serve with baguette slices.
Reblochon
Ingredients:
Petit reblochon de Savoie (240 g/8.47 oz.), 250 g (8.82 oz.) small new potatoes, red onion (sliced into thin rings) & 125 g (4.41 oz.) bacon bits.
Preparation:
1. Cut the Reblochon into wedges, boil the potatoes in the skin for 8-10 minutes until cooked and fry the bacon bits without butter or oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Place a few potatoes in a raclette pan, add the fried bacon and top with a wedge of Reblochon.
3. Place the pan under the raclette grill plate until the cheese melts.
4. In the meantime, cook the onion rings on the grill plate and serve together with the potatoes and cheese.
Raclette cheese
Ingredients:
Raclette cheese (in slices), tortilla chips, fried bacon or chorizo (crumble), jalapeño pepper & bell peppery.
Preparation:
1. Fry the bacon or make the chorizo crumble as described in the Manchego recipe above.
2. Remove the seeds from the jalapeño pepper and cut into slices. Chop the bell pepper into small pieces.
3. Put a few tortilla chips in a raclette pan and top with the fried bacon or chorizo crumble. Add some bell pepper and jalapeño pepper slices.
4. Place half a slice of raclette cheese on top of the chips together with the other ingredients.
5. Place the pan under the grill plate until the cheese is fully melted.
Make your own combinations
While waiting for the cheese to melt, you can also cook some veggies on the grill plate to eat on the side, such as asparagus tips wrapped in bacon. Or simply snack on the cheese on the cheese platter!
